GPF Focus Session and Display: A Future for Our Children? Can I make it happen?

On entering the exhibition area in ExCeL on Saturday 22nd November 2008, one of the first things that caught everyone’s eye was a dazzling green algae lamp! The contribution to the Global Peace Festival by the Environment Focus Group chaired by C-Green Solutions and the benefits returned were both highly successful. These included a project co-sponsored by the GPF, an exhibition stand and a focus session.

A Future for our children? Can I make it happen?

Focus Group Session to be held at this year's GPG UK.
The aims of the environmental focus group are:

  • to network
  • to share and create new ideas
  • to give a platform to innovative projects people may not be aware of

The sessions will explore novel action we can take at an individual and community level, and will include a key note speaker, yet to be announced. The environmental project sponsored by the Global Peace Festival will be explained and showcased at the expo.

Young people visit site of environmental project

Sponsored by the Global Peace Festival, the FREdome Visionary Trust has organised a free educational visit to see and understand the work of Harry Hart on 23rd October 2008. This is a fantastic opportunity for sixth formers and other motivated students across schools in Watford, Three Rivers and surrounding areas who are interested in environmental issues to visit him and learn more about the GPF-funded work he is carrying out.

First step towards resolving looming global problems

The Global Peace Festival is a co-sponsor of a key element of the C-Green Solutions project – the development, by Harry Hart (Global-Eco) of the “Sholto” system, designed to automate the cultivation of highly nutritious food crops in nothing but brackish seawater, both locally in the UK and even in the most impoverished areas of the world.
